Donna Diamond Born and raised in Bergen County New Jersey, student of the Arts, lover of animals, nature, and the Universe in general.
The passion to create blossomed in her teens, when her High School Art Department offered extensive instruction, valuable encouragement, and many mediums to explore.
Jewelry making began as a pastime, mostly for the purpose of making wearable some favorite stones and crystals collected over the years. "I literally started with a rock and some wire!" Soon the jewelry took over, and being too invested in the art of wire bending to just stop there, a business was born, and has taken on a life of it's own!
Donna's focus for the last 20 years is with the creation of jewelry, mostly in sterling silver, but also offers 14K over brass, precious faceted, and semi-precious gemstones as well. Her wrap techniques are very basic, and created in an Old world manner using no solder or casting equipment. This makes for unusual one-of-a kind pieces, no two will ever be exactly alike.
In the effort to create the ultimate virtually non-slip earwire, every earring wire is also handcrafted by the artist, one by one.
"I prefer cold connection to soldering, it seems so much more organic." Says Donna as she bends and shapes wire by hand around an unsuspecting stone... "Beating the wire into submission with a ball-peen hammer is a great stress reliever" she exclaims. As is being with her dogs on Ocean Grove beach where she now lives and works.
"I love it here, and feel so blessed!"....Thank-You for your interest, and Many Thanks to all who wear and enjoy my work, and to those who helped me along this path!
